CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
HOW I WORK

I utilize a collaborative approach with my clients and seek to improve their quality of life and establish a balance between work and play. I value the human connection and embrace both the art and science of therapy. In working together, you can expect to develop insights and learn ways of initiating and sustaining change. I place great emphasis on developing a trusting therapeutic relationship that fosters emotional growth.
As the son of Argentinian immigrants, I have developed a keen interest in issues of acculturation and intergenerational conflict. I also speak Spanish and have experience conducting therapy in both languages. My therapeutic approach is integrative and draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have found mindfulness-based interventions to be helpful in addressing clients with anxiety disorders and psychosomatic manifestations (interaction of mind and body).
ABOUT ME
My undergraduate studies were at the University of Southern California, where I received a degree in Social Science with an emphasis in psychology and a minor in photography. I later attended the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco for my doctorate in clinical psychology.
My pre and postdoctoral training was primarily focused on child and adolescent development in a hospital based setting. I worked with an acute population, where I conducted neuropsychological testing, provided parent consultation and individual therapy. I worked at the Psychological Care and Healing Center in Mar Vista for 5 years, focusing on OCD and other severe anxiety disorders. I am now in private practice and work with clients remotely in both Washington and California.
